Buy Osteoarthritis Medications Online

Osteoarthritis: description

Osteoarthritis is one of the most common form of arthritis. The end of a bone terminates as a smooth articular cartilage which acts as a kind of lubricant to the movement of joints. However, for osteoarthritis patients, the cartilage starts to break down and the bones begin to rub against each other, causing pain.

Treatment for osteoarthritis

Any damage to the joints already caused by osteoarthritis is not reversible. Treatment mainly focus on reduction of symptoms, of pain. For this, prescription medications as listed above, are available. Early treatment can help prevent or reduce joints damage. Some advocate exercise. Others advocate rest. Still others recommend varied and balanced diet. Sometimes, surgery will be necessary.

Asthma: Symptoms, Dangers and Medications

Disclaimer: The information provided here is only for educational purposes only. You must never consider any of the information presented here as a substitute for consulting with your physician or health care provider for any medical conditions or concerns. Before consuming any medication, please consult with your physician or health care provider.

Asthma is a medical condition affecting the respiratory system comprising the lungs into where gas exchange takes place and the diaphragm which pulls the air through the bronchi to the lungs. Asthma is an allergy, a chronic condition which can be inherited from our parents. When a patient gets an asthmatic attack, the airways constrict and the patient experience tightness of chest, coughing, wheezing (tachypnea), shortness of breath (dyspnea) and breathing difficulties. Asthmatic attacks can be mild or life threatening.

The only "cure" for asthma is identifying substances that trigger asthmatic attacks and then desensitize oneself to these substances or just plain avoidance. Other treatments are merely to treat the symptoms. Asthmatic attacks triggered by exercise may be overcome by stopping the exercise. Other asthmatic attacks may be helped by medication which may be taken orally or more common, delivered direct to the lungs via suspension of the medication in aerosols and sometimes topically on skin or injected intramuscular. Many of these are steroid drugs. Severe asthmatics which are not treated properly may lead to death.

For short term relief from symptoms, bronchodilators may be used. Asthmatic patients suffering more than two attacks a week may be prescribed low-dose inhaled glucocorticoids or less desirable, an oral leukotriene modifier, a mast-cell stabilizer, or theophylline (dimethylxanthine). Note: theophylline has numerous side-effects and is now rarely used. Glucocorticoids available include hydrocortisone (Cortisol), Cortisone acetate, Prednisone, Prednisolone, Methylprednisolone, Dexamethasone, Betamethasone, Triamcinolone, Beclometasone, Fludrocortisone acetate, Deoxycorticosterone acetate (DOCA) and Aldosterone. Mast-cell stabilizers include Cromoglicate and Nedocromil.

For patients getting daily asthmatic attacks, doctors may prescribe a higher dose of glucocorticoid together with an inhaled β-2 agonist (beta-2 agonist) or alternatively, a leukotriene modifier or theophylline may substitute for the β-2 agonist. β2 agonists include salbutamol (albuterol in USA), Fenoterol, Formoterol, Isoproterenol (β1 and β2), Metaproterenol, Salmeterol, Terbutaline and Clenbuterol.

In severe asthmatics attacks, oral glucocorticoids may be added to these treatments during severe attacks.

NOTE: The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on November 18, 2005 have issued an alert that several long-acting bronchodilator medicines may increase risks of worsening wheezing (bronchospasm) in some people, and have requested that drugs manufacturers to update warnings in their existing product labeling.

Get Medications Online

Environmentally friendly way of getting your medications

Some people unfortunately have to be put on long term medications. However, it is not likely that you can get all your long term medications at a single visit. This means multiple trips to the physical pharmacy or pharmacies. This imply transport which in turn, directly or indirectly, burning up rapidly depleting precious and increasingly expensive fossil fuel. Burning of fossil fuel emits green house gases which makes our environmental problem of the century - global warming worst.

Further, it is time consuming. Not only you spend time traveling, you spend time waiting for your medication to be dispensed, and if you are getting your medications from government hospitals, this mean long queue.

Other reasons for getting your medications online is you may want specific original medication and not generic ones, but those may not be available in the place you stay, or vice-versa.

In my country, the government have taken privatization (some people nickname it piratization) to a fine art and have imposed the use of hologram sticker for all drugs sold in the country to a monopoly. This drives up the cost of the drugs. There may also be substantial price difference between countries. For example, I read somewhere that a certain chewing gum to help one stop smoking is more expensive in the United States of America, but is available at substantially lower price in nearby Canada.

Conveniences of getting medications via online pharmacies

Just imagine, one can sit in a comfortable chair in front of the computer connected to the environmentally friendly Internet, do some comparison shopping online, get the best deal and all without stepping out your front door, and have the medications delivered right to your doorstep.
